The Voroshilov coastal battery
The Vorozhilov coastal battery was created in the Far East of Russia in the 1930s to strengthen the protection of Vladivostok from the sea. The playground on the Russian island was strategically advantageous for the placement of the defense system. During its long history, the Voroshilov coastal battery has amassed a sufficient number of interesting facts: this amazing complex is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running battery. The force of the pressure wave from the battery volleys was so great that the glass in the windows of the houses broke in the next few settlements. The Voroshilov battery did not take part in any combat operation.

The marine aquarium
The seawater aquarium, a few kilometers from Vladivostok on the Russian island, was opened only recently - on September 6, 2016, and has since become very popular with the residents of Vladivostok and the guests of the city. The building of the saltwater aquarium was built in the shape of a huge, beautiful white shell with an area of more than 37,000 square meters. There are 135 different aquariums on its territory. One of the largest is equipped with an astonishing 70 meter tunnel that is 2.5 meters wide that visitors can walk through while admiring a variety of fish. And the largest marine aquarium took the honorable third place in the world!
