Murmansk is the cheapest place to see the Northern Lights. This tour gives you an opportunity to discover the fascinating city with its unique Arctic nature. The town is located on the Kola Bay coast, not far from the Russian borders with Norway and Finland. It is the biggest city in the north to the Arctic Circle with population of 300 000. Murmansk has the largest port on the shores of the Arctic Ocean and the only port to remain ice-free all year round. The Polar night at the latitude of Murmansk lasts from early December to mid - January, while the Polar day – from the end of May, till the end of July.

Day 1, Saint Petersburg
- Arrival to Saint Petersburg. Meeting with your guide
-City tour with photo stops. Explore St Petersburg with a knowledgeable guide and get acquainted with the city center
-Transfer to the hotel. Check - in
Day 2, Saint Petersburg
- Breakfast at the hotel
-Meeting with your guide in the lobby
-The Peter and Paul Fortress - the birthplace of St Petersburg. Have a look at the most controversial statue of Peter the Great or throw a coin onto the top of the hare figurine
-Lunch at one of the locals restaurants (Russian cuisine)
-The Hermitage Museum. Visit the largest art gallery in Russia, one of the most adored art museums in the world that is protected by its own private army of cats.

Day 3, Saint Petersburg-Murmansk
-Breakfast at the hotel
-Check – out. Meeting with your guide in the lobby. Transfer to the airport
-Flight to Murmansk
-Arrival in Murmansk. Meeting with a guide. Transfer to a local restaurant
-Lunch at one of the local restaurants (Russian cuisine)
-City tour. You will have a chance to see the nuclear icebreaker Lenin, the city's pride and most recognizable sight - Defenders of the Soviet Arctic statue.
-Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Time at leisure

The locations visited differ from day-to-day, but you will head in the direction with the most chance of seeing Mother Nature at work. A professional aurora hunter and a photographer will accompany you during the tour.

Please note the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and as part of nature, uncontrollable we cannot guarantee how much you will see on the night of the tour.
Day 4, Murmansk
During this day, you will visit the settlement of Teriberka (120 km from Murmansk) and take part in a unique trip to the coast of the Arctic Ocean.

- Breakfast at the hotel
- Meeting with your guide in the lobby
-Transfer to the Teriberka village with photostops along the way. You will see treeless region of Tundra where the lands are covered with snow for much of the year
-Lunch in a local café in Teriberka (Russian cuisine)
-Drive to the Arctic Ocean where you have to be ready for the real storm!
-Visit to the beach and return to Murmansk by 6 – 7 p.m

Day 5, Murmansk
Husky Sledding, a visit to the Sami village and you get to drive a snowmobile! If you are looking for a husky sledding holiday, then look no further than our winter activity in Murmansk, where you can have a go at driving a sled or relax as a passenger and let someone else do all the work.

- Meeting with your guide in the lobby. Transfer to the Husky Park (40 min)
- Meeting with a professional musher (husky sledging instructor)
-Lunch in a local cafe
-Free time with Huskies


-Next stop — a Saami village!
Visit an ethnographic museum under the open sky. Here you can learn everything about the traditional way of Sami life, try the real Saami cuisine, see the reindeer farm and, of course, have your photo taken in a national costume.
-A snowmobile ride for 10 – 15 minutes through the forest.
-Return to the hotel
-Dinner at the hotel or one of the local restaurants
Day 6, Murmansk
- Breakfast at the hotel. Check - out
- Meeting with your guide in the lobby. Transfer to the airport
